There is hope, even in the toughest situations.  As we work together, I strive to create a safe and supportive experience to help you move toward wholeness, stability, and peace. I’ve worked successfully with men, women, children, couples, and groups.  My approach includes using current, proven strategies tailored to your needs to help achieve your goals.
I have effectively assisted clients from many walks of life, including military veterans, first responders, survivors of tragedy and crime, and their family members.  My diverse background has allowed me to practice counseling for 12 years with a seasoned perspective. While my specialty is in the treatment of trauma, I've worked successfully with a wide variety of clients and diverse challenges as a therapist and life coach.
While serving in the United States Navy, I witnessed a need in the mental health field.  Once I retired, I continued with my education and received a master’s degree in counseling from Regent University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Nationally Board-Certified Counselor (NCC), a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), a Neuropsychotherapist (NPT-C), an Eye Movement Desensitization, and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist, a Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist (CAGCS) and a Certified Master Life Coach.
It can be daunting to consider therapy, but if you're here, I want to encourage you to think about reaching out. Let’s talk about it. Please remember, there is help. There is hope.
